How to get involved

Hopefully by this point, you're feeling inspired.

In which case, it's time to start picturing the moments, people, and places in Arnold, that you’d want to freeze in time with your camera.

Once you've taken your photo and are happy be it a single shot or a series of images – the next stage of the process is to submit these to the online archive.

A step-by-step guide to submitting your photos

  1. Take photos (digital format only please)

Big events, quiet corners, community gatherings, local heroes, changing seasons – it all matters.

  2. Please let us know that you're planning to upload a photo to the archive, so we can enter you into our competition.

  1. Upload your photos

The Inspire Picture Archive online form will take you through the process. When uploading your photos, please ensure you populate the ‘Description’ field as noted in section 3 below.

    The next step is important!

  2. Describe your photos

To help connect your photographs with others from the Capture Arnold project on the Inspire Picture Archive, you must include a standard introductory sentence about the project when populating the ‘description’ field for any images uploaded.

The key wording to add to your description is as follows:

This photograph was taken as part of Capture Arnold, a community project that took place in Arnold between November 2025 and 2026.

Adding the above description means:

  • your photographs become part of our community project

  • future users will be able to find content relating to Arnold

  • you could win you or your group a prize, kindly donated by a local company*

Thank you in advance for engaging with this project it means a lot!

*Please bear with us on this one - we've secured some modest prizes local judging panel to be confirmed :-)
